Core Services


1.   1. Child-Care Service

o Service Content: Provide child-care services to take care of children who aged 3-6. Parents in the district who need to work long hours, unstable working hours or in sudden care needs can enjoy this service with an affordable price.

o   Service Target: Children aged 3 to 6 who live in Sham Shui Po District

o   Service hours: Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. -1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. (suspended on public holidays) (*1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. is the lunch hour for staff. Please contact social worker if there is a necessary need for child-care service during this time.)

o   Service fee: $20 per hour (minimum 2 hours per booking)

o   Meal fee: $12 per meal (advance reservation required)

o   Appointment service: You are welcomed to call us via 2608 9112 or visit us in person to check the vacancy of Child-Care Service.

 

First-time application procedure:

1.       Apply and register as a member of the centre.

2.       Complete the service application form and related documents.

3.       Bring the original child’s birth certificate, parent or guardian's ID card and address proof for verification.

4.       Parents or guardians must bring their children to the Centre to meet the social worker for an in-take assessment.

 

2. 2. After-School Care Service

o   Service Content: Provide reasonably priced after-school care and homework guidance services for children aged 6-12.

o   Service Target: Children aged 6-12 who live in Sham Shui Po District (Primary School Students)

o   Service Hours: Mondays to Fridays 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. / Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (adjustable depends on school time) (suspended on public holidays)

o   Service Fee: Monthly fee $850-$1550, depends on the numbers of days and hours of services, maximum 5 days with 4 hours.

 

First-time application procedure:

1.       Apply and register as a member of the Centre.

2.       Complete the service application form and related documents.

3.       Parents or guardians bring their children to the Centre to meet the social worker for an in-take assessment.


o   3. Food Assistance Service

Service Content: Provide food assistance services, mainly low-priced hot meals, for people in the district to support the basic living needs of the grassroots residents.

o   Service Target: People in need and those facing short-term or emergency financial difficulties living in Sham Shui Po.

o   Service Hours:

 

Lunch

Dinner

Mondays – Saturdays

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Sundays & Public Holidays

*Service hours and arrangements may vary according to COVID-19 measures.

o   Service Fee: $12 for a hot meal / $6 for frozen food (Reservation is needed 2 weeks before)

 

First-time application and order:

1.       Apply and register membership of food assistance service

2.       Bring a valid food membership card and order meals in person
