Centre Introduction

The Sham Shui Po District Council Po Leung Kuk Shek Kip Mei Community Service Centre is one of the key community projects jointly organized by the Sham Shui Po District Council, the Home Affairs Department, and Po Leung Kuk. It is located on the podium level of Mei Kwai House, Shek Kip Mei Estate.

The Centre provides two main service areas: “Community Services” and “Medical Services.” Community Services include temporary child care services, after-school care programmes, affordable hot meal assistance, and a variety of other community support services. Medical Services include Western medicine, Chinese medicine, dental care, and physiotherapy, offering high-quality, professional, and appropriate services to residents of Sham Shui Po and those in need.

Community Services

“Temporary Child Care Service”

Provides fee-based temporary child care for children aged 3 to 6, supporting parents who work long hours, have no one to care for their children during work, or families with urgent or unexpected needs.

“After-School Care Service”

Offers affordable after-school care and homework support services for children aged 6 to 12.

“Affordable Hot Meal Assistance Service”

Provides low-cost and nutritious hot meals to individuals in need within the community, supporting the basic living needs of grassroots residents.

Medical Services

Po Leung Kuk upholds the principle of “integrating medical care and social care” and, through the close collaboration of its social service and medical teams, provides service users with holistic treatment from multiple perspectives.

Family Medicine Services

The Integrated Health Centre provides affordable, high-quality family medicine services, including consultations, health check-ups, and programmes organized by the government and other public institutions, such as the Vaccination Subsidy Scheme and the Colorectal Cancer Screening Pilot Programme. Discounts are available for seniors aged 65 or above, Comprehensive Social Security Assistance recipients, and students eligible for school fee waivers.

Chinese Medicine Services

The Centre offers a range of affordable, high-quality Chinese medicine services, including internal medicine, health maintenance, acupuncture, and bone-setting treatment. It uses premium Chinese herbal granules. Discounts are available for seniors aged 65 or above.

Physiotherapy Services

Physiotherapy services include pain treatment and various rehabilitation services. Discounts are available for seniors aged 65 or above.
