About Our Centre

Sham Shui Po District Council Po Leung Kuk Shek Kip Mei Community Services Centre is the signature project scheme jointly developed by Sham Shui Po District Council, Home Affairs Department and Po Leung Kuk. It is located on the podium floor of Mei Kwai House, Shek Kip Mei Estate. The Centre has two divisions: Community Services and Medical Services. Community Services are mainly provided Child-Care Service, After-School Care Service, Hot Meal Food Assistance Service and other various community services; while Medical Services are included: Western medicine, Chinese medicine, Physiotherapy Service, Dental Service and etc, aimed to provide high-quality and professional medical services for residents in both Sham Shui Po and the society.

Community Services

o   Child-Care Service

To take care of children who aged 3-6. Parents in the district who need to work long hours, unstable working hours or in sudden care needs can enjoy this service with affordable price.

o   After-School Care Service

Provide affordable after-school care and homework guidance services for children aged 6-12.

o   Hot Meal Food Assistance Service

Provide food assistance service, mainly low-priced hot meals, for people in the district to support the basic living needs of the grassroots residents.

Medical Services

Po Leung Kuk sets out on its vision on ‘’MedSoLink’’ to provide all-rounded treatment for service users through close cooperation with social services and medical teams.

o   Family Medical Service

The Comprehensive Health Centre provides high-quality and low-priced family medicine services, including diagnosis and treatment services, physical examinations, and activities organized by the government and other public organizations (such as the Vaccine Subsidy Program, Colorectal Cancer Screening Pilot Program). Senior citizens aged 65 or above, CSSA recipients, and tuition waived students can enjoy discounts.

o   Traditional Chinese Medicine Service

Provides a variety of high-quality and low-priced Chinese medicine services, including internal medicine health care, acupuncture and bone injury treatment. The centre uses high-quality Chinese medicine granules. Senior citizens aged 65 or above can enjoy discounts.

o   Physiotherapy Service

Physiotherapy services include pain treatment and various types of physiotherapy rehabilitation services. Senior citizens aged 65 or above can enjoy discounts.

Medical Services Opening Hours

Note: The medical services can only provide limited services during the COVID-19 pandemic. To lower the risk of infectious diseases, only the person with an appointment and a maximum of 2 escorts are allowed to enter the Centre 10 minutes before the appointment. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
