Thanks for considerate care

Thank you so much for your considerate care for me. I lived a good life here and my academic performance has been improved.

Ms. NG, you are so patient. You always reason with me when I kept arguing with you.
Ms.CHAN, you like chatting and laughing even if you look serious.
Ms.CHUNG, when I just came here, many children said that you were fierce, but liked doing something to make us laugh. (I won’t forget your Mandarin!)
Ms.LEE, you are the “queen of snacks” because you always have snacks in your pockets.  You are also like“making us laugh”.
Ms. LAI, you often take time to read newspapers with us in the afternoon to let us know more about current affairs.
Finally, Ms. WONG and Ms. CHOW, you two often help me resolve problems in school. You often discuss with other staff about how to give us better life, and how to arrange more outdoor activities.

In the end, thank you very much for taking care of me and arranging activities for us to let us live a better life!
Thank you !

This is a warm family

In New Comers' Ward, I participated in many different activities, interest classes and groups, and outdoor activity is my favourite.

As I am not Chinese, I learned Chinese in the "Joy to Learn" educational program. I like the children and workers in New Comers'  Ward because it is a warm family.

New Comers’ Ward is a place where children can study

I have lived in New Comers’ Ward for half a year, and have known more about here. I think New Comers' Ward is a place where children can study.

When I first came here, I knew nobody. At last, I made a lot of friends and my best friend is Ah Ching.

Child's Voice
They are just like my mother

I have been here for a while. During this period of time, I have participated in different games and activities, which have enriched my knowledge. Moreover, social workers also have different special groups and interest classes, so I live fully everyday.

I have a special feel about the workers here. Sometimes, they are just like my mother. Other children are ardent and kind, just like brothers and sisters!

Child's Voice
I feel that I was at home

I feel that I was at home instead of in a residential place. I like the facilities here.

The workers take good care of us and most of them treat every kid with a heart. Once I fell on the playground, a worker carried me back to the Ward immediately. I felt that the workers here really cared about us. I even cried at that time!  However, if we are naughty, they would warn or discipline us immediately. I like every worker here as they treat every child fairly and kindly.

Children in New Comers' Ward are easy-going, lively, cheerful, lovely and humorous. Sometimes, we go out with the workers and our friendship has been enhanced. During our stay here, our horizon has been widened and knowledge has been enriched via participation in different activities, such as boating and attending Child Sponsors’ Day, all of which have brought us a lot of joy. I have not taken a boat or seen an idol before, and I couldn’t imagine I can do it here. The workers in New Comers' Ward are right, saying that New Comers' Ward gives every child a "new beginning".

Though I will not stay here for my whole life, I will cherish every day here before I have to leave. Time flies before parting and it makes me feel that the time I spent here with friends is very short. I will not forget the happy time I spent here after I left.
